Calling all collectors of Tsuchiya Koitsu prints. Koitsu.com is in the process of compiling the first comprehensive catalog and reference text of Tsuchiya Koitsu woodblock prints. We are searching for owners of Koitsu prints who can provide us with high quality image scans for inclusion in the catalog. We are currently looking for scans of the following types of prints:
Note: image scans should be taken at 300DPI (dots per inch) if possible, but even scans taken at 150DPI would be acceptable. Most oban-sized prints will not fit onto a standard A4-sized scanner, but it is possible to take scans of the top half and then the bottom half of the print -- I'll join the two halves together later. Please save your scanned images in the .jpg format (rather than .bmp or .tif) because this will reduce the file size considerably. If you don't have a scanner, images taken using a high-quality digital camera set to the largest image size would also be acceptable. Because of the large size of the scanned files, please email the files individually -- one file per email. I thank you in advance for your help.
